Services Australia and myGov

Services Australia’s purpose is to support Australians by efficiently delivering high-quality, accessible services and payments on behalf of the government. The agency’s main digital platform is myGov which is a simple and secure way to access government services online in one place.

During my time as a Graphic Designer on the Creative Design team in 2021, I consulted with various departments within the agency to deliver graphic design services within short timeframes, following set processes, ensuring design accessibility, clarity of message, and alignment with branding requirements and the agency’s guiding principles of ‘simple, helpful, respectful and transparent’.

In 2023, I returned to the agency to backfill the position of Lead Interaction Designer on the myGov Platform and Content Experience team where I developed user interface mockups that explored innovative ways to improve the myGov user experience and conducted usability testing of the mockups to gather insights on user’s design and navigation preferences. Additionally, I collaborated closely with the myGov Content team to design interactive tree testing to restructure myGov’s information architecture (IA).
